Terms and Conditions of Service delivery
(SHRADDHAMS)

  • 1)The Ritual would be carried out by the purohit /Bruhaspati /vadhyar /priest as per the information provided by the customer. So, the customer buying the service is requested to provide accurate details
  • 2) The performer should be available on the primary and alternate contact numbers provided. Persons delivering the service would be contacting them for directions, route, landmark, clarifications.
  • 3)Cancellation facility of the service from the customers end is not available. A service booked would not be cancelled. However, due to extreme climatic conditions, natural calamities, government imposed curfew, hostile political conditions, if access to the customer's premises / service delivery place is ruled out, the service would stand cancelled and would be delivered on an alternate date (as requested by the performer )
  • 4)If the performer is unable to perform on the requested date due to reasons like Aashowcham (Theetu) they have to inform shraddham.com well in advance about the same and also the alternate date in which they have decided to perform. Only one such request would be accommodated
  • 5) The menu for Tithi / Divasam / Shraddham / Maasikam is standardized as per shaastram . Performers opting for the Services of Cook have to arrange the required quantity of Vegetables, Fruits and Provisions as listed below. Vegetables and Fruits may be bought as per seasonal availability but nothing to be bought outside the following list (one or two items may be dropped as per the performers choice). In case of complete Cooking contract, customers should inform the cook(s) about their family practices with respect to vegetables, bhakshanams and other specific practices in advance. In case of complete cooking contract, staff of shraddham.com would not buy any fruits. Customers should arrange for different types of fruits.

    (பிரண்டை), Lab Lab Long (அவரைக்காய்), Ladies Finger (வெண்டைக்காய்), Raw Banana (வாழைக்காய்), Cluster Beans (கொத்தவரக்காய்), Colakesia ( சேப்பங்கிழங்கு), Snake Gourd Small only (புடலங்காய் சிறியது மட்டும்), Banana Stem (வாழைத்தண்டு), Bitter Gourd (பாகற்காய்), Green (அகத்திக்கீரை மட்டும்), Sweet Potato (வெள்ளிக்கிழங்கு), Cucumber (வெள்ளரிக்காய்), Apple ( ஆப்பிள்), Yellow Bananas alone (மஞ்சள் வாழைப்பழம் மட்டும்), Pomegranates (மாதுளம்பழம்), Mango (மாம்பழம்), grapes (திராட்சை), Orange (கமலாப்பழம் - ஆரஞ்சு), Honey (தேன்), Raw Rice (பச்சரிசி), Moong dhall (பயத்தம் பருப்பு), Urad Dhall (உளுத்தம் பருப்பு), dried Red Chillies (காய்ந்த மிளகாய் சிவப்பு), Till ( எள்ளு), Groundnut oil (கடலை எண்ணெய்), Mustard ( கடுகு), Pepper (மிளகு), Jeera (சீரகம்), Jaggery (வெல்லம்), Ghee (நெய்), Curd (தயிர்), Salt (உப்பு), Tamarind (புளி), Rice Flour (அரிசி மாவு), Urad flour (உளுத்த மாவு), Coconut (தேங்காய்), banana leaves, drinking water, cooking gas (cylinder), tumblers.
  • 6) For the Homam the Performer needs to make the following arrangements Oupasana Kaal / Homa Kundam, 10 numbers Donnais (made of silver / Wood / paakku as per the performers choice ), viratti ( 5 numbers), Sulli (Wood for sustaining the fire for homam ) - 6 bunches, sufficient camphor cubes , Ghee (நெய்) (1/4 kg), Till (எள்ளு), Raw Rice (பச்சரிசி), Mango Leaves (2 bunches), Banana Leaves 2, Flowers, Sandal powder, Sombhu, Tumblers,
  • 7) The role of the priest (vadhyar / Bruhaspati) is restricted to helping the performer perform the shraddham. Directives of the priest are to be followed religiously. The Priest (vadhyar / Bruhaspati) will bring poonal (sacred thread) , Darbhams (Holy grass), Samith, Darvees
  • 8)The cook will reach the premises well ahead of the start of the ceremony to start cooking. They would cook only on GAS CYLINDER fuelled stoves. They would not cook on Firewood, Coal. Their role is restricted to Cooking the shraddha food menu and they would not cook anything else. They would not clean the premises pre and post the ceremony. It is the responsibility of the performer and his family members to ensure cleaning pre and post the performance of the ceremony
  • 9) The Services (Purohits , Bramhanartam and Cook) are arranged as per the inputs given by the performers. Strict adherence to the numbers quoted by the performer (if the performer says that 10 people including swamis will eat, cooks would prepare for 10 people and shraddham. com won't be responsible for any overrun in headcount)
  • 10)It is the performer and his family's responsibility to ensure smooth conduct by extending fullest cooperation. The performer should inform the Purohit, Cooks about any uniqueness in their family with respect to Karmas and Items.
